Peninsula Valdez
Written by Brian David Crane on October 7th, 2005
Saturday afternoon I am going with Regi (my flatmate from Germany) to Peninsula Valdez to see Southern Right Whales, Elephant Seals, Magellan Penguins, sea lions and (with some luck) Orca Whales (i.e. Free Willy). We are leaving on Saturday for the 16 hour bus ride and will be back on Wednesday morning at 9:00 just in time for our Spanish III class at 9:30. Hopefully, we will meet up with two Argentinian girls we met in El Bolson, Guillerima & Michela. As for tonight, Eugenia invited me to a milonga to celebrate the new Transnoche building. She will be dancing in the show with her brother (both are very good tango dancers) - congratulations Eugenia!Last night I went to Mitre (don’t ask me why, I really don’t like the place) to celebrate with the other interchange kids the last weekend of Mario. Mario is an Argentinian who organized a lot of activities for all of the interchange kids - his energy and excitement will be missed when he goes to Buenos Aires.
