“Out of Africa” Tonight
Written by Brian David Crane on April 7th, 2006
NEW PHOTOS UP HERE - If you don’t care about Spring Break pics (as the previous link is listing of all newly added photos go to the TN Friends section HERE instead. It is high society time here in East Tennessee. I have been invited by the organizer, Mona, to go with her as her date to a formal she is putting together called Out of Africa that will benefit Ugandan children. Suits, ties, dresses, the whole ball of wax…I am really looking forward to it. An update after tonight’s gala and about 4 months worth of photos should follow this weekend. (UPDATE BELOW)On Wednesday, I went on a roadtrip with the infamous Chris (best-selling writer of that hip-hop slow jam - “I’m In Love With A…”) and Jordan to visit Mark in Nashville (photos here). It was great. Mark seems to be doing well in his new place and Chris and Jordan are fun guys to be around no matter what the situation. We are already planning a lake trip for Memorial Day.I am going out a bit too much for my own good but considering that college life is ending in about a month I feel like I can’t pass up one final go-around…Out of Africa UPDATE: I was super-impressed by the Out of Africa event put together primarily by Mona (pictured here looking amazing as usual in full gala dress). She did a great job putting together a really fun evening in a great old building that was well-decorated with lots of good music and food and some educational material so that people didn’t forget what they were supporting by attending the Out of Africa gala. Other than the rain and an early ending to the festivities, the night was a 10. Lots of Issues Committee people attending, specifically Abby, David, Eric, and Danny.
