  • Llegando en Cordoba

Home at last at 8:30 on Easter Sunday morning. Beautiful day here - this afternoon I am going out to put up English Conversacion flyers and will be uploading my pics from the trip. As for the last night in Bariloche, spent it with Maud, Lily, Gustavo, and Maud’s boyfriend (they are all fellow intercambios from Cordoba) just hanging around the hostel catching up on what each of us has been doing for the week. The bus ride back was extremely long and, apparently, I purchased the wrong ticket for my journey from Neoquen to Cordoba (I changed bus companies in Neoquen). My ticket was for the day before (friday, not saturday) but they let me go ahead. One crazy thing about the bus ride is, during dinner, they offered wine to everyone (including two 15 year olds sitting next to me) and then whiskey after dinner…obviously, not to be drunk but to help you sleep, maybe? Either way, alcohol is treated with more respect here (and it is much more freely available i.e. beer was served at the refugio in the mountains on Friday at 1500 m as well as in the bus last night). I would love to call my parents today for the first time in a month but the verification process for buying SkypeOutcredits is horrendous. Well, I have to go now as I arrived home to find Pablo, a friend of Leandro’s, sleeping in my bed and he is awake now and wants to know about my week. Ciao!
