La Otra Casa De Carlos
Written by Brian David Crane on October 24th, 2005
Carlos celebrated his 40th birthday this weekend with an invitation to all of the interchange kids to his parent’s house in the mountains around Lake San Roque (about 50 km from Cba). After playing soccer Sat. morning with about 15 of the interchange guys, we met back up in the afternoon (the soccer guys as well as about 15 other interchange kids) and took various public buses out towards his house (the bus stop is probably 2 km from his house - a 30 minute walk). I had never been to his house/cabin but the view is beautiful even if the house is a bit small. We built a bonfire, set up the tent, and had an asado. It was a very fun night. On another note, Mark Spiceland sent me about 15 text messages using the directions from my other post on Sat. morning before we left to play soccer. It was good to hear from him (and it would be good to hear from you…whoever is reading this…so be like Mark and send me a text or 10…)
