English classes are going well - I am getting paid 10 pesos an hour (about $3.50) and I am at the high-end of the pay scale. I like doing it as it is an opportunity to make SOME money and not constantly spend, spend, spend. I have two or three clients right now.Jose and I continue to have almost nightly meetings in his fiamberia to discuss business. On a side note, I went to Migraciones yesterday to try and change my status here from Tourist to Student with the idea of receiving a DNI (Social Security) number and thus being able to open a bank account. No such luck. On a side note to any of you prospective intercambios at UT or elsewhere in the U.S., it is worth it to get the student visa if you plan on actually living in the country (i.e. having a bank account, a job, being able to buy large items i.e. a moto). Looking back, I wish I had gone thru the hassle and gotten the student visa before my trip because, now that I am here, Í can´t get it.As for the upcoming weekend, there is a music festival in town (campus rock) that I am going to on Sunday with some of the other intercambios. Tonight, I have a fiesta en frase * i.e. a costume party * that should be a lot of fun. I am slowing putting the moto back together (and will probably spend Sat. working on it as well) and I have tango classes tomorrow night. I didn´t realize how much I need transportation here until I had my wreck. I MISS THE MOTO.
