Cuesta Blanca
Written by Brian David Crane on November 3rd, 2005
Today we (Ernesto, Peter, Hannah, Patrick, Geli - all from Germany - Daniel (Mex. Mariana (Bra and I) went to Cuesta Blanca, a river/beach area outside of Cba. I talked with Daniel alot and was really surprised at some of his travels: spent the summer after his 18th birthday working as a waiter in Paris to learn French, spent another summer in London, and another summer in Puerto Rico. Everywhere he went he saved money and had a great time doing it while living as a foreigner in a new culture…sounds good, no? Supposedly, once you actually get a good taste of traveling you can’t stop and I am already looking past my next & final semester at UT to where I can go next…As for experiences here in Cba, Mariana and I spent last night on her balcony talking about dreams, plans, life, etc. with a bottle of Argentinian wine. It was a great talk and it was one of those experiences you can’t explain as to why it was so special but just having the time to sit and talk about whatever and enjoy the view over the city was great. On another note, several of my IICANA students have discovered my website so I have to be a bit more careful about what I say as what I have written in the past came back to bite me in tonight’s class…
