What a great game the Argentina v. Mexico match was yesterday. I watched it with some Argentinians over at Roberto’s house and, when Maxi Rodriguez scored one of the most beautiful goals of the WC in overtime to help Argentina win, Roberto’s house erupted. Hugs, screams, bottle caps thrown, a table was kicked - it was just like being back in Argentina…My favorite soccer chant from Argentina: “vamos vamos Argentinavamos vamos a ganarporque esta banda kilombera no te deja no te deja de alentar!”On a sad note, the father of my host family in Argentina, Otto, is in the hospital after a heart attack. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.I spoke twice last week at the orientation sessions being held for incoming freshman at UT about studying abroad. Hopefully, some of them will go abroad and have the time of their lives (like I did!). And maybe I am biased but study in a country where English isn’t spoken!
